He is staying, so they can trot back to the dark, dank places they normally inhabit.

And don’t bother coming back.

Moving on, the Hearts Board and the FoH need to STOP thinking about survival.

After 149 years SURVIVAL is NOT enough.

This club, the 3rd biggest in Scotland, hasn’t won the league for over 60 years.

Don’t blame the managers in that time.

Time and again, the Board has let them down.

Starting with the stupidity of selling Dave McKay to Spurs, when he was essential to success AND did NOT want to go.

The current Board CAN be different -BUT only if they find the funds to invest relatively big in the Summer.

The mean-minded failure to sign Callum Paterson in January MUST be the last failure of ambition.

£200,000 signings will NOT do it.

Hearts need to spend around £20 million signing players in the Summer and provide for an extra £12 million for their wages next season.

Example of lack of ambition?

Two or three million could have brought Simms to Hearts, if offered at the right time.

So the Board need to step up and find the money – fresh money, not debt – to make it worthwhile celebrating 150 years of history.

We are NOT waiting another 60 years -or even 6 – the Premiership MUST be won.
