Michael Stewart or Craig Levein? No Contest. Craig is a Hearts Legend! #Hearts #ScottishPremiership #CraigLevein #BBCScotland

Craig Levein gave Robbie Neilson his opportunity, when most supporters wanted Gary Locke to get the job.

He was absolutely correct to do so.

When Robbie left first time around – which was because of lack of funding for players and therefore no fault of CL – he had to find a new coach mid-season.

That didnt work out and then the Chair -Mrs Budge – insisted Craig became manager.

Craig did not ask for the job or want it initially.

In his first season back in charge, Hearts went clear at the top of the league but were derailed by a spate of injuries.

Craig still took Hearts to the Cup final.

It was only in the next season, leading up to the early relegation, that things went badly wrong.

It happens – thats football management.

Craig Levein was an excellent player and has in three spells, at Hearts and Dundee United, been a good or better manager.

Craig LOVES Hearts. When he had a health problem with his own heart, he rushed back to look after his beloved club.

Michael Stewart was an ok player and has seemingly never had the inclination (courage?) to manage any club.

After previous negative comments by Stewart, Craig barbed back along the lines off ” when Hearts signed for Hearts, we had to put a value in the contract. We put in £1. That was the worst £1 Hearts ever spent.”

Given Stewart always has a microphone in his hand, perhaps that was a dangerous thing for Craig to say.

Certainly, Stewart was no star as a player for Hearts.

Craig Levein certainly WAS a star.

Stewart has aired his views on Craig Levein more than enough. It is starting to sound like a vendetta.

Time for Stewart to quieten down on the subject and to show some respect for a decent human being AND Hearts Legend.

If he doesn’t, the BBC might have to take away Mikes mike for good….
