Hibs haven’t managed to sell all the home tickets for a Scottish Cup tie against Hearts.
Just as they couldn’t sell all their tickets for the Scottish Cup semi-final last season.
Unsurprisingly, Hibs supporters no longer believe in the antics of Ron Gordon, the Hibs Chair – or the succession of managers he has parachuted in to attempt to orchestrate the chaos he has created.
Meantime, at Tynecastle …
Win or lose today, Hearts will continue their relentless improvement.
Excellent players are being given long contracts, new players who can boost the overall quality of the squad are being brought in – and no longer do Hearts have to let players travel the 40 miles to Glasgow for tiny transfer fees.
The building blocks are in place; now it is up to Robbie Neilson and Joe Savage to build the quality of the squad – and for Robbie to guide the players towards the fruition of all their – and his – hard work.
On the pitch, there is now quality in every position. There are a number of leaders in this Hearts team and they are helping to build the confidence of the whole group.
Put simply, players are now not just able to perform well; we are starting to see glimpses of them strutting their stuff.
There is much more to come – but no one with open eyes and an open mind could miss the steady improvement that is starting to gather pace.
Rangers are probably too far ahead this season to be caught, but Hearts can destabilise them with a win against the Glasgow club at home on 1 February.
Robbie Neilson and Joe Savage are building something very special at Tynecastle.
Make no mistake, Hearts are targeting 2nd place in the Premiership next season.
Reducing the duopoly to a temporary monopoly is the next step towards knocking both the the Old Firm off their perches.
The belief within the Hearts support is growing, replacing the fear of even daring to hope.
The Hearts Faithful know there will be the odd setback – but they also appreciate the path the club is on.
After 37 seasons of domination by two clubs, Scottish football so very badly needs new champions.
Hearts can deliver that outcome by 2025/26.
One of the finest cities on the planet CAN again have the finest football team in Scotland.
BELIEVE.
Time for Change.
