Hearts showed their best form of the season yesterday against Kilmarnock, especially in the first half.
Importantly, they were able to bring on excellent substitutes who, at any other club in Scotland outside the Old Firm, would surely have been certain starters.
Third is the target for Hearts this season – but that is not the limit of the clubs ambitions.
Squad building will go on over the next two seasons to put Hearts in the best position possible to challenge -and then break – the Glasgow duopoly.
Hearts supporters believe now. 18,600 at the match yesterday; 15,500 season ticket holders; 1000 on the waiting list for season tickets.
Scotland badly needs new champions before the domination of Celtic and Rangers – already 37 seasons old – can become a permanent feature of the SPFL.
Hearts are the only club that has an any way realistic opportunity to knock Celtic and Rangers off their perches.
It cannot happen soon enough ….
Time for Change.
