Steve Clarke and his players certainly deserve to have their praises sung as loudly as can be achieved.
But, at domestic level, the single most important result this season was the defeat of Celtic by St Mirren.
Celtic were threatening to run away with the Premiership.
That might still happen – but, thanks to St Mirren, not yet.
The two most important matches in October for Scottish football are Hearts home fixtures against Rangers and Celtic.
Although it is too early this season to have realistic hopes that Hearts can knock the Old Firm off their perches, two home wins would do wonders for the confidence of Hearts AND any other clubs that aspire to end the 37 year two horse race.
Despite their injury issues, Hearts have a decent opportunity to complete a home Old Firm double.
BELIEVE.
Time for Change.
