For what it’s worth, I am a great supporter of Steve Clarke. He has done a marvellous job as Scotland manager.
However, with my Hearts supporter hat on, I must admit I have been surprised at the failure to see Stephen Kingsley and Barry McKay in recent Scotland squads,
To my mind, both are excellent football players and deserve their places at international level.
However, Steve Clarke has now explained his thinking and it is reasonable.
He is the manager and must be backed.
Let’s hope Scotland continue in their fine vein of form and win both their matches in the next week.
As for the two Hearts players, I remain convinced their time will come.
They will, I am sure, be patient.
Since Hearts haven’t won the top league for over 60 years, patience is a well-rehearsed virtue at Tynecastle!
