Another sell-out match for Hearts – Livingston (H) March 2022 – as Hearts supporters start to genuinely BELIEVE! #Hearts #SPFL #Champions

Hearst’s supporters have been hardened – perhaps some made cynical – by lack of success.

There have been so many “downs” since the top league was won 60 long years ago; so many false dawns; so many hopes dashed.

Three Scottish Cups have been won but none of those victories led to a sustained period of success.

Now, however, confidence is building again at Tynecastle.

The Foundation of Hearts has brought supporter ownership and stability.

Plans can now been made – and seen through to fruition.

And then there is Robbie Neilson and Joe Savage – team manager and sports director – working in perfect harmony to bring the best players to Tynecastle – and to retain their services.

Robbie Neilson is a winner. I recognised that the first time I heard him speak. My view of him was confirmed as I watched him guide relegated Hearts back to the Premiership at the first attempt, leaving Rangers and Hibs trailing in their wake.

Robbie is now back where he belongs, back at Hearts, working to lead his players to the glory this wonderful club deserves.

This season, Hearts completed the first sequence of league matches unbeaten. No opponent was able to lower the famous maroon colours.

However, the Hearts squad was not strong enough to sustain the challenge. Robbie and Joe knew that the very good players already at the club needed to be retained – but also that more squad building was needed.

Hearts will only lose one player at the end of the season- John Souttar. Otherwise, the very best players have committed themselves to the club.

I believe Robbie is giving himself two more seasons to win the Premiership with Hearts.

Achieve that and the untold wealth that comes with Champions League football will put Hearts in a financial position to remain challengers to Celtic and Rangers for a long time to come.

That’s the DREAM.

And it is genuinely now within touching distance.

Hearts supporters have had many disappointments – but this is not going to be added to the long list.

The Premiership CAN be won.

BELIEVE.
