Robbie Neilson is a winner.
Three times he has been asked to get a club promoted to the Scottish Premiership from the Championship; three times he has succeeded.
When he left Hearts after their first promotion – ground redevelopment work meant he could be given no money to strengthen the team at that stage – they were 2nd in the Premiership, having just completely outplayed and beaten Rangers.
After he brought back Hearts to the Premiership for a 2nd time – this season – he took them unbeaten through their first sequence of matches.
The position now?
No team in Scotland can feel comfortable – or confident of the result – when playing Hearts.
NO TEAM.
Losing John Souttar is only a tiny disruption to that picture.
All the other players have rightly bought in to where Hearts are going under Robbie.
These players want to become LEGENDS, by being part of the team that knocks Celtic and Ranger off their perch for the first time in four decades.
Only one or two positions in the Hearts squad now remain to be strengthened.
YES. THAT IS CORRECT. JUST 1 OR 2.
Next season, Hearts are certain to mount a huge challenge to the Glasgow duopoly that has sucked the life out of Scottish football for 37 consecutive seasons.
However, the league title has yet to be decided this season!
A marvellous end to the season could still win Hearts by far the biggest prize in Scottish football.
The run up to that potential triumph starts NOW.
Celtic come to Tynecastle with key players missing.
Yes. Their pool is strong -BUT there is no way the team they field tomorrow will be their best.
Hearts are virtually at full strength – and have already beaten Celtic this season.
The bookmakers will still of course make Celtic favourites to win the match.
BUT Robbie and his team know this is NOT the case.
In reality, Hearts are FAVOURITES to win tomorrow.
To become champions, whether this season or next, this group of Hearts players needs to wear the mantle of favouritism comfortably.
They ARE good enough to do so.
Hearts supporters are beginning to BELIEVE.
They are ready to play their part , roaring their club back to the pinnacle of Scottish football.
Tynecastle needs to sell out for every match for the remainder of this season and all of next.
Are there any Hearts supporters who do NOT want to watch their club bring the Premiership title back to Edinburgh?
NO.
I will be there tomorrow night, one of the thousands helping to roar Hearts to victory.
Scottish football needs new champions
Hearts are ready to fulfil that need.
BELIEVE.
The Time for Change?
NOW.
