John Souttar must NOT be allowed to leave Hearts this season! #SPFL #Hearts #Rangers

John Souttar achieved little for Hearts.
Not his fault, but he was almost constantly injured.
Hearts didn’t need JS to escape the Championship and he failed to help Hearts win either of the Scottish Cup Finals which were reached during his tenure.
JS has cost Hearts a fortune in wages paid whilst he was injured.
Hearts have helped him get back to fitness three times – though he has had to show strong character himself – and basically got half a season in this seasons Premiership in return.
He is a good player and I am delighted he is back in the Scotland national team BUT Hearts won’t really miss him because they haven’t really had him.
All that said, he needs one big money contract before the end of his career and this is probably it. With his injury record, he had to get the insurance of the contract.
He should have taken the English money though.
No one at Hearts will welcome him warmly back to Tynecastle wearing a Glasgow shirt.
And if he wants to wear that shirt this season, he better persuade his new employers to pay £2 million.
If they won’t pay up, Hearts should drop him from the squad. He won’t want to risk injury playing full out for Hearts, so it isn’t worth playing him.
He certainly shouldn’t play against Celtic. That would suit Rangers – and nothing Hearts do should be done to help either member of the duopoly that has ruled and ruined Scottish football for 37 seasons.
As others have said, I wish JS well for Scotland – and hope he wins zero at Ibrox.
