The Scotsman believes Hibs’ tough times don’t last – but didn’t they also say that when Terry Butcher was manager? #SPFL #ScottishFootball #Hearts #Hibs

Although I am a Hearts supporter, I would love Hibs to be successful in the league – but clearly not as much as the team of sports journalists at the Scotsman!

The favourable coverage the Scotsman gives to Hibs is quite extraordinary.

For example, on Saturday Hibs were 8 minutes away from a sixth successive league defeat, playing a team with only ten men on the pitch.

Hibs scrambled two late goals to stop the rot, which is good BUT hardly the cue for more sunshine over Leith!

Meantime, the Scotsman’s plaudits to Hearts are as rare as gold nuggets in the River Almond.

Recently, Hearts defeated Dundee United 5:2, a couple of weeks after Hibs had lost 0:3 at home to the same club.

Cue excited “class act”headlines from the Scotsman?

Sadly, no!

Both Edinburgh clubs have an incredible poor record in terms of winning Scotlands top league.

Hearts haven’t managed it for 61 years; Hibs record of failure is even worse, stretching back to 1952.

Both need to be challenging to win the league over the next two seasons, to start addressing their disgraceful record of failure.

Hearts are beginning to believe they can challenge.

Let’s hope Hibs can follow the lead that Hearts are providing.

Scotland is DESPERATE for new champions, desperate to see the Celtic/Rangers duopoly broken.

Time for Change.
