No panic at Hibs right now: but it is only a couple of defeats away! #SPFL #ScottishFootball #Hibs #Hearts

Jack Ross seems a decent man and manager.

However, like every manager, he cannot afford a significant sequence of defeats.

Five defeats in a row IS significant.

Should that grow to seven, which it could do as early as next midweek, the alarm bells will be ringing loud and clear.

Is that fair?

No.

But that is the way it is in football.

Should Hibs fall into the relegation zone, JR will most likely be sacked.

Over at Hearts, the manager gets very little leeway from a section of the “support”.

In the unlikely event that Hearts lose to St Mirren today, Robbie will face dogs abuse from a group of supporters who have bark but no brains.

Edinburgh football has, in reality, been in crisis since 1960, the last time either Hearts or Hibs actually won the top league.

I hope JR survives.

But, much more important, one of the Edinburgh clubs needs to win the Premiership within the next two seasons.

The players are good enough.

But they must BELIEVE.

Time for Change.
