Ange Postecoglou addresses Ian Bankiers ill-judged referee comments. #SPFL #ScottishFootball #Celtic

ANGE POSTECOGLOU must be furious at his Chairs comments on football officials.

Firstly, they were not fair to referees.

Whilst during a match feelings can blow up and supporters rants at referees are understandable, after the match most rational people will accept that perceived mistakes were honest errors, not bias.

For a club Chair to actually name two referees, indicating he doubts their even-handedness, is completely unacceptable. Bankier must be called to account by the SFA.

He knows that referees and their families are often subject to abuse from moronic football supporters. Fanning the flames of such fires is, quite frankly, a complete disgrace.

Secondly, Ange knows that Bankier’s comments might encourage his players to show a lack of discipline in confrontations with officials. More red cards could result, impacting results.

Banker’s statements – plus the managerial change at Ibrox – underline that the Old Firm are in some disarray at the moment.

Let’s hope the other clubs can take advantage!

Time for Change.
