Some of us knew Steve would succeed as Scotland team manager.
It was obvious to anyone with a brain, with eyes to see and ears to listen.
The negatives, often seemingly Rangers supporters who can’t handle the fact he didn’t want to manage the Ibrox club, tried to get him sacked.
“He doesn’t smile enough” was one particularly idiotic excuse offered for suggesting his dismissal.
Let’s face it – what has Scottish football had to smile about in the last few decades?
36 years of domestic league domination by the Glasgow. Failure to qualify for the World Cup Finals since before the Millennium.
A laugh?
HARDLY.
Steve has changed all of that. Now he smiles – and he deserves to, because he is making a nation happy.
Let the negatives be warned.
