John Souttar’s Hearts future in no doubt: he either signs a new contract OR goes at the end of the season. He will NOT be allowed to go before then! #Hearts #JohnSouttar #ChampionsLeague

There is an attempt in progress to destabilise Hearts.

Not unusual, as Tom Jones sings.

It happens every time there is a threat to the poisonous duopoly that has ruined Scottish football over the last four decades.

Remember when Dundee United were threatening to win a few cups a number of seasons ago?

Most of their best players went in the January transfer window, including several to Celtic, vaporising the Dundee clubs chances of winning anything.

A couple of seasons later, they were languishing in the Championship.

Until, in fact, they were rescued by the current Hearts manager.

Anyway, there can be no question of Hearts allowing any player to leave in January.

We will accept the loss of paltry January transfer fees/ compensation in favour of continuing our quest for our first Premiership title in 60 years.

The prize is HUGE.

The manager and players who end the duopoly will be Scottish football legends FOREVER.

I hope John Souttar signs a new contract that gives Hearts one more full season after this.

I know John has had a horrendous time with injuries – but Hearts have looked after him as best they could.

He owes us nothing, of course.

However, there is a chance he will see the really big picture. The glory, the quest for which is the starting point of any sporting career – and then, of course, comes the “treasure”!

Help Hearts win the Premiership, John.

Earn that glory – and then reap the financial rewards that will come through Hearts automatic qualification for the Champions League Group Stage.

For once, the stars are aligned. Glory and financial reward can BOTH be earned.

Will John Souttar ever play in the Champions League if he joins eg Stoke?

NO WAY.

His choice.

I hope he has the vision to make the right one.

For the supporters, of course, only one thing matters. Winning the Premiership.

They are starting to see that it may happen.

They are on the verge of letting optimism overtake history.

They are beginning to BELIEVE.

Time for Change.
