Hearts had a remarkable summer for signings.
Not a single failure. Some truly exceptional.
The one area they failed to strengthen was in relation to goal scoring. They simply could not find a player with the right qualities to strengthen the squad.
Rightly, therefore, they did not sign just anyone to increase numbers. There was no point.
Hearts stand undefeated in the league. They have enough very good players to concede few goals. They are making plenty of chances and some of their creative forwards many start chipping in with some goals.
Whatever happens, it is clear Hearts are genuine challengers this season.
They are no longer Also Rans.
This is a notable change.
