Scottish football is full of people like Charlie Adam – you could call them the “Adam Family” – who can’t see beyond Celtic and Rangers, seemingly revelling in the boring duopoly.
To prove him wrong, Hearts need to beat teams like Dundee – one of the habitual Also Rans – consistently.
Hearts have done ok so far this season against such clubs. Being undefeated to date proves the point.
In the space of eight days, Hearts play Dundee, St Johnstone and Aberdeen. If they remain undefeated at the end of that run, Hearts will have underlined the seriousness of their challenge.
I believe they can do so.
On another note, it is gratifying to see that of the five clubs currently remaining unbeaten this season in the eight English and Scottish Premiership professional leagues, two are called Hearts!
Take a bow Liverpool; Bournemouth; Hearts; Queens Park; and Kelty Hearts!
Long may both Hearts beat all-comers – and strongly!
Time for Change.
