The standard practice of Celtic and Rangers has been to destabilise potential challengers from amongst the usual Also Rans by signing their best players for peanuts.
This will NOT be happening this season to Hearts.
The sums are easy.
By winning the Scottish Premiership this season, Hearts would automatically qualify for the Group Stage of next seasons Champions League.
Such qualification would be worth over £30 million to Hearts.
Why would they put that at risk by accepting a few pennies from Glasgow?
On top of that, Hearts have 8000 members of the Foundation of Hearts to call on for more funding, if such funding is necessary to hold on to our best players in January 2022.
I am a member of the Foundation and I will certainly provide extra money, if called upon to do so for this purpose.
So Rangers and Celtic can stop their usual scheming.
NOT FOR SALE is the message they will both get if they come calling at Tynecastle with their very small cheque books.
Scotland needs new Premiership Champions.
Hearts can be those Champions.
NOW. THIS SEASON.
Time for Change.
