Hearts could give Rangers a bloody nose – BUT do not need to do so to win the Premiership. #SPFL #ScottishFootball #Hearts #Hibs #Rangers #Celtic #Believe

Saturday at Ibrox is a Free Hit for Hearts.

The Premiership title is NOT won at Ibrox and Parkhead.

The League Flag can be flown by a club that is most consistent against the other nine teams in the top league – and has beaten Celtic and Rangers at home.

Hearts can be that club.

Way back in 1985/86, when Hearts lost the league title on goal difference, they had a much better record against the top clubs in the division than Celtic – but Celtic regularly destroyed the Also Rans.

More recently, I recall the season when Hearts had completed their sequence of matches against the Glasgow giants unscathed, only to lose the league on the run in by conceding points to significantly inferior teams.

Robbie Neilson is a meticulous manager – and a winner. He knows what is required.

Should Hearts win on Saturday away from Tynecastle, it will be a huge boost for them and significantly undermine Rangers bid to retain the league title.

However, even a defeat would leave Hearts in a strong position to challenge for the title, with many eminently winnable matches to be contested before playing Celtic away at Parkhead in December.

So have your Free Shot, Hearts – but, whatever the result, retain your confidence that the Premiership is there to be won.

I have seen all the Hearts squads of the last 50 years – and this is the best by a long, long way.

What they must do, all season?

BELIEVE.

Time for Change.
