Beni Baningime impressed from the moment he stepped on the Tynecastle turf.
He oozes confidence and class. He has wonderful control of a football and great vision. Everything he does, he does excellently, including harrying opponents until they give him the ball simply to get some respite from his attentions.
Beni is key to Hearts chances of fulfilling the Dream of the last six decades ; winning Scotland’s top league.
There is still a long way to go and it still almost requires a miracle for Hearts to win the Scottish Premiership.
But note the word “almost”. This Hearts squad is the best since the 1980’s.
It CAN be done, in a season where Celtic and Rangers are as weak as they have been for many years.
The whole of Scottish football – outside Parkhead and Ibrox – will celebrate another club winning the Premiership for the first time in 37 seasons.
