Jack Ross has every right to be pleased with his sides performance in reaching the semi finals of this cup.

Hibs have won so little over the years that winning anything has to be seen as a “good thing”.

However, Hibs have not won the top league in Scotland for nearly 70 years – Hearts have waited 60 years for success in the same competition – and it is this failure which needs to be put right.

NOW. IN 2021.

Should Hibs win the cup, they will actually be taking it from Perth to Edinburgh, which is not the switch of power Scottish football needs to see.

For 36 seasons only two names have appeared on the Premiership trophy. This has strangled true competition and belittled Scottish football in the eyes of supporters around the globe.

It is Edinburghs senior clubs which have an opportunity to win the Premiership title season 21/22. The weakness of the Old Firm compared to previous seasons is obvious.

Do not be deflected by cups, Jack and Robbie.

One of you MUST win the Premiership title this season.
