The Celtic personnel changes on Sunday will not frighten Hearts.
Hearts had the three best players on the pitch last time the two clubs met. If that is also the judgement at 5PM on Sunday, Celtic will have been removed from the Premier League Cup.
Whilst winning the league is virtually impossible for a club like Hearts – no team apart from Celtics or Rangers has won the tournament for 36 years – Hearts can certainly destabilise the Old Firm to some extent.
A defeat for Celtic on Sunday would leave their season in tatters.
A win for Hearts would be a win for Scottish football.
The more defeats for Celtics and Rangers the better.
Meantime, we wait to hear what the Dithering Directors of the Also Rans are going to do off the pitch to end a duopoly that has wrecked Scotland’s national sport for four decades.
