Neither Rangers or Celtic will ever again be ready for the Champions League.
That horse bolted long ago.
The bankruptcy of the previous owner of the Rangers brand allowed complacency to set-in at Parkhead. The Celtic Directors knew the Cash Cow could be milked with the other member of the duopoly in the lower divisions.
Celtic failed to invest and last season the club paid the penalty by failing to achieve their beloved “ten-in-a-row”.
The Rangers manager basically contrived a team largely made up of journeymen to play out-of-their-skins for one season.
This season his Harry Potter touch appears to have deserted him.
So both Celtic and Rangers are now weak.
It is time for the Also Rans to damage them on the pitch, until their Dithering Directors find the courage to take action against the Old Firm off the pitch.
Time for Change.
