Why were Malmo better than Rangers ?
Because they have to beat more than one club to become league champions in Sweden.
Since 1985, there have been TEN different winners of the top league in Sweden.
Scotland has had only TWO league winners in the same period.
Lack of competition leads to stagnation – and that is the fate of both Celtic and Rangers.
Meantime, the Also Rans may be more disruptive this season, but their management and players know that they have zero chance of actually winning the league.
The Also Ran Boards must use the cinch row as a lever to bring about fundamental changes to the funding arrangements in Scottish football.
The problems must be addressed off the pitch, to give the managers and players of the Also Rans some hope of challenging for league honours on the pitch.
Time for Change.
