Ange Postecoglou seems a very decent man and manager – but he has no hope of improving Celtics league position by the one place required unless the Celtic Board give him big money to spend.
In the meantime, Celtic will lose some league matches.
Hearts played well but didn’t have to be at their best to beat Celtic.
The Parkhead club had a high % of possession BUT did little with it.
Craig Gordon, in the Hearts goal, had one outstanding save and two decent ones – but Celtic were inept in the final third and really didn’t make many clear-cut chances.
Hearts defended superbly; had an excellent debut from the signing from Everton; and broke well enough.
The other Also Rans now need to follow Hearts lead and inflict some further defeats on Celtic.
Disrupting the Old Firm on the park is vital, as managers and players wait for the Also Ran directors to deal with the Glasgow Twins off the pitch.
