If Kyogo Furuhashi can score goals in Japan, he will score in Scotland.
In fact, it would be hard to name a league on the planet from which a goal scoring recruit wouldn’t be expected to transfer his skills to Scotland.
The fact is that the standard of Scottish football is poor – and declining.
Why?
Because two teams have been allowed to operate a duopoly, a duopoly which has strangled the life out of the Scottish game.
The Also Rans have been given their roles on a permanent basis, like long-term extras in Coronation Street, leaning on the bar in the Rovers but not having the money for a drink.
Whether this unknown Japanese can move Celtic one place up the league table is another matter.
That’s the only challenge he faces.
But it is a big one.
Meantime, the Also Rans will simply watch the Glasgow Twins jostling for the top two positions.
Boring?
You got it!
Time for Change.
