Rangers continue to raid Scottish Premiership “rivals”, as they and Celtic have been doing for decades. The robbery MUST stop! #Celtic #Rangers #SPFL #ScottishFootball

The disastrous and illegal duopoly that has existed since 1985 – 36 tedious years -now does exactly what it likes.

The only money in Scottish football is at Parkhead and Ibrox. Though Rangers are in debt, they have the ability to raise funding that is absent from any club amongst the permanent Also Rans.

In this case, Rangers have taken a youngster from Hearts for peanuts – but even if one of the Also Rans manages to retain a player for a few years more, the fee they ultimately get is never fair open market value.

The Old Firm effectively set the ceilings for transfer fees, with clubs down South or overseas knowing matching the pathetic Celtic and Rangers offers – or beating them by a few £thousand – will lure any player away.

Celtic and Rangers have resources. They must now share them with the clubs they have ripped-off for years.

£20 million each is the annual membership fee they should pay to be in the SPFL.

If they don’t want to pay, they should be expelled from the league.

Time for Change.
