TRAGIC.
Hearts couldn’t raise enough funds to offer their best young player a better contract than a German club which is that nations equivalent of Edinburgh City.
The financial arrangements in the Scottish Premiership are a bad joke.
The Also Rans pay peanuts – and give their players no opportunity to win the league.
That is not an attractive future for young players to contemplate.
So they leave.
The Old Firm need to be made to pay £40 million a season to retain their places in the Premiership.
Otherwise, they can go elsewhere.
