Rather than face up to the fact that England have better players than Scotland, some who support Scotland have to resort to the kind of rubbish served up by Kevin Gallacher.
Scotland will fight for the cause against England – then almost certainly lose.
The Scotland manager has done an excellent job, working with a limited talent pool. He is probably one of the best managers at Euro 2020.
However, England have an excellent crop of very good young players from which to choose, blended with some experienced players of quality.
Fighting spirit can – and should – only take a team so far in football. England are likely to demonstrate this against Scotland.
Italy, France and England look like being the best teams in the tournament.
Italy in particular are both brilliant to watch and very effective.
