Hibs haven’t produced a player to make the Scotland squad in a major tournament for 47 years.
A sad failure – but nothing compared to their shortcomings as league title contenders.
Hibs have not won Scotland’s top league for 69 long, dreary years.
In fact, their dearth of league wins leaves them ranked 8th in terms of most recent league success.
Since that far off league triumph, Hibs long-suffering supporters have spent at least £400 million for home match tickets alone.
That’s a lot of money to pour into the Water of Leith, with not even a ripple of league success in return.
Hibs are, of course, just one of forty Also Ran clubs in the SPFL structure. None of them currently has any hope of winning the Premiership.
2021 is the year when the financial and structural arrangements of Scottish football MUST be radically altered, to give Hibs and other clubs some hope of a winning a league title.
Time for Change.
