Moving to Celtic would have been very high risk for Eddie Howe.
Failure to win a two-horse race would have left him fired within 24 months.
After that, he could not hope to return quickly to the EPL.
Moving to the likes of Crystal Palace, where the club expects to win nothing but do so attractively and sees avoiding relegation as akin to winning the Champions League, would be much more sensible.
The poisoned chalice of the Old Firm rivalry, which has little to do with football, is best avoided.
The money is also better in London!
In short, a No Brainer.
Meantime, radical changes are needed to make Scottish football worthwhile for Scots, never mind Eddie Howe.
Time for Change.
