Hibs owner Ron Gordon knows that his club hasn’t won Scotland’s top league for 69 years – and that he can’t change that because the current financial arrangements in Scottish football guarantee the existing Celtic/Rangers duopoly will go on forever.
Gordon focusing on the “challenge” to finish above Hearts is simply designed to deflect attention from the fact that Hibs have zero chance of winning the Premiership.
It’s akin to Nepal declaring war on Tibet, to take citizens of Nepal’s minds off the fact that giant China is the real threat and one that cannot be beaten,
Hibs finishing above Hearts is meaningless, unless being best of the Also Rans is your only realistic target.
Ron G is a multi millionaire. He should be shopping at Harrods – or at least Waitrose. Instead, he plucks his ambitions from the bottom shelf at Poundland.
Not good enough.
Hibs supporters deserve better.
Much better.
Time for Change.
