Hibs boss Jack Ross has no chance of leading the club to the Scottish Premiership title.
None.
Zero.
The inevitability of failure is not down to his personal shortcomings.
The problem lies with the financing and structural arrangements of Scottish football.
In the 36 years since the Celtic/Rangers duopoly started, decent men and managers like Jack Ross have come and gone.
They talk the talk but their walk quickly falters.
And then they are gone. Usually very quickly.
Sacked by Chairs who refuse to take responsibility themselves for ending the automatic supremacy of the Old Firm.
In a way, Aberdeen stand out amongst the Also Rans as the abject failures.
One little League Cup won from the last 63 domestic trophies “contested”, yet each season the media tout the club as “challengers” to Celtic and Rangers.
Pathetic, at best.
Celtic and Rangers need to start paying a £20 million licence fee each season to remain in the SPFL.
The £40 million will be distributed to the other clubs to rebalance the absurd automatic financial superiority of the two Glasgow clubs.
Clubs must play each other only twice per season in the league. Four times leaves each of the Also Rans facing a 24 point loss to the Old Firm. This removes any chance of mounting a realistic challenge to the duopoly,
There are other changes we have put forward to end the duopoly BUT the two noted above can be given two or three seasons to achieve the desired outcome before future alterations are implemented.
Action is needed NOW, in 2021.
The Chairs of the Premiership Also Rans and lower division clubs must work together to force Celtic and Rangers to accept the proposals.
Time for Change.
