Celtic linked Ali McCann – minimum price of £10 million should be set. #Celtic #Rangers #SPFL #ScottishFootball #scottishfootballmatters

In no other league in Europe are two clubs able to impose low player transfer prices on their “competitors” in the top league.

Around Europe, when the more powerful clubs come calling, they have to pay big money to prise away players with potential.

Not in Scotland.

Celtic and Rangers march in, rattle a jar of pennies and unsettle the players with, by Scottish standards, fancy wages.

Celtic players earn on average £16,000 a week. Their counterparts at Ibrox have to managed on about £14,000.

The majority of their so-called competitors can afford to pay between £1000 and £2000 per week.

This is a totally hopeless position for the other clubs in the Scottish Premiership.

So transfers to Parkhead and Govan will need to be banned, for five years, until the other changes we propose have an opportunity to permanently change Scottish football for the better.

Time for Change.
