Gary Mackay: Hearts are already selling themselves short for next season?

Gary Mackay was heavily involved in the early work to bring Hearts out of administration. He deserves immense credit for that.

However, possibly because of some personal issues to do with Craig Levein, dating back to the 1980’s, Gary has been somewhat of a “negative” for years now.

Gary should perhaps recall that, notwithstanding the valiant efforts of the Hearts squad of 85/86, they won zero.

The current Hearts manager has led the club to two Championship wins and, when he left Hearts previously, Hearts were actually 2nd in the Premiership.

Robbie N has never let Hearts down, as player, coach or manager.

He deserves time – and that means at least another two seasons – and a bit of silence from Gary.
