Rather than Hearts fans calling for a Championship trophy boycott, they should be calling for fundamental changes to the Premiership

Many Hearts supporters were rightly aggrieved that Hearts were prematurely demoted to the Championship in 2020.

However, rather than asking for a gesture like Hearts not collecting their trophy, supporters could better consider whether it is worthwhile returning to a Premiership in its current form.

Let’s face it. At least Hearts had a chance of winning the Championship.

They have zero chance of winning the Premiership.

The close season gives Mrs Budge and the Foundation of Hearts the opportunity to mobilise the rest of Scottish football – every club apart from Celtic and Rangers – to force changes through.

Those who care to read other posts on this website will have sight of a number of potential changes.

If only highlighting two, I would choose the Old Firm stumping up £40 million a season to fund the Premiership as a proper competition and clubs only playing each other twice a season.

Press on Mrs Budge and the Foundation.

Time is short and it is

Time for Change.
