The Old Firm lending players to the “also rans”?
That’s a big help for Rangers and Celtic – it does zero for any other club.
It is not the Old Firms players the rest of Scottish football needs- it’s some of their money!
Ever since 1980 Celtic and Rangers have kept the rest of Scottish football poor by firstly, arranging to keep 100% of their home gate receipts and secondly, by building new stadiums to milk the potential of the 100% retention.
The on-message response from the Glasgow Twins is “that is the way it is”.
Not at all. Scottish football had been around for over 100 years before the rules on home gate receipts retention were changed 40 years ago.
Time to change them back, to restart the clock on what had been a decent 100 years for the sport in Scotland.
Keep your players, Steve.
WE WANT THE HARD CASH.
Time for Change.
