The Scotsman once again vastly overstates Hibs success…

The Scotsman does love a good make-believe story about Hibs.
Reality is somewhat different.
Ever since the word “Premier” has been in the title of the top Scottish league – since 1975/76 – Hibs have got precisely nowhere.
They have never managed to even finish second.
Meantime, in the same timeframe, Aberdeen have won the league on three occasions, Dundee United once, Hearts have finished 2nd four times and Motherwell have achieved the same level of success on no fewer than three occasions.
Let’s not get into Hibs cup record …
Jack Ross seems like a good man doing the best job he can in impossible circumstances.
The “impossible” bit is challenging Celtic and Rangers.
Hibs supporters best stop being deluded by Scotsman piffle.
Hibs haven’t won the top league for 69 years; they have failed to even finish second in the last 46 years; and they have no hope of achieving either measure of success in the foreseeable future.
And, in case you think I am singling Hibs out for criticism, I must stress that no other club can do any better in terms of challenging the Old Firm.

Time for Change.
