Yesterday’s Old Firm contest was not much of a game, which illustrates the poverty of Scottish football.
Rangers needed to improve and they have done so. However, Celtic have been in a state of decline for at least a couple of years.
Celtic “got away with it” after the departure of BR; were shaky last season, before the pandemic prematurely ended the season; and this season have struggled to impose themselves in many games. Their results have actually been better than their performances.
Scottish football standards have been eroded by a duopoly followed by a monopoly, lasting now a total of 36 years.
Time for Change.
