Time for Change – and here are some changes needed!

Celtic & Rangers have effectively used the other Scottish clubs as Whipping Boys, over the last 36 years in particular and pre World War Two.
Time for Change – and here are some changes which are needed.
* a handicap system, with progressive point penalties to prevent successive wins; * reversal of the 1980 decision to let home clubs keep 100% of gate receipts; * an increase in the number of clubs in the Premiership, with each facing each other only twice per season.
Also, for the next 5 years – to give the other measures time to work – 50% of all European tournament prize money would be shared amongst non-qualifying Premiership clubs.
It is Time for Change – and all measures need to be radical. The Scottish Premiership can be made competitive again – but only if the “also rans” are prepared to fight to be more than Whipping Boys.
